THE NORWEGIAN CROP CIRCLE GROUP was established in February 2000. We aim to collect and register information about crop circles in Norway. We have tried to collect information about patterns that occurred prior to year 2000 as well as the ones that have occurred later. This web site gives a presentation of the material we have collected in Norway so far. ON A WORLD BASIS approximately 13.000 crop circles have been recorded, the majority in England. Crop circles have also been registered in Canada, U.S.A, Germany, Holland, New Zealand, Australia, Denmark and other countries. In Norway we have registered circles that date back to 1991. THE GREATEST MYSTERY OF MODERN TIMES? Even though some crop circles abroad are known to be man-made, for instance on commission by television companies and as commercials, the majority of the circles are of unknown origin. Despite of extensive scientific research for more than 15 years (of 250 crop circles in 9 different countries ), no one has, up till now, been able to establish how the patterns are made. MAN-MAID CIRCLES The Norwegian Crop Circle Group does not intend to determine which of the Norwegian patterns that are possibly made by humans and which are not. But in cases where we should receive conclusive evidence that a circle is man-made, the information will be presented on our web site GET IN TOUCH WITH US! If you have any information about Norwegian crop circles that we have not registered, get in touch with us through our Guest Book or at post@kornsirkler.org. The same applies to all readers of this web site who whish to contact us or only to send us a greeting. PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING We ask anyone who visits cultivated fields in Norway during the growth season, to be careful not to harm the crop. We also remind you that you need permission from the farmer before you enter the field in summertime. THE NORWEGIAN OUTDOOR RECREATION ACT Public access to woods, fields, rivers, lakes, skerries, irrespective of who owns them, is an ancient unwritten right in Norway. The "Outdoor Recreation Act", unique in Europe, legalises this right. There are however some restrictions to this public right, for instance the restriction of access to cultivated land. The free access to cultivated land is only valid when the ground is frozen or snow covered (generally from the middle of October to the middle of April). © Norwegian Crop Circle Group | http://uk.kornsirkler.org | post@kornsirkler.org | Established 2000
